Science & Math Teacher

Grade 4 – 8

Salam! My name is Noreen Ijaz and I have teaching experience in various fields including Math, Science, Islamic Studies and Language. I worked with many students in different age groups in Pakistan.
Alhamdulillah! It gives me great honour and pride to be a member of the teaching faculty in this institution. My educational background includes a masters in business administration and specialization in textile designing and manufacturing. I successfully completed my computer courses and pre-employment diplomas from Conestoga college. My teaching philosophy focuses on the notion that each child is unique and brings something special to his/her own education. I am the mother of three beautiful and talented children. In my free time, I love baking and watching good documentaries. I am a friendly person and enjoy meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of this wonderful team of OMA.

Homeroom Teacher

Grade 1

Salam! I am known as Huzaifah Syeda, and I am a trained Montessori Directress certified by NCE (New Century Education).  I have been teaching Grade 2 students and taking Kindergarten classes at Ontario Muslim Academy for the last 8 years. I am thankful to OMA for providing me this opportunity to serve in this capacity of providing education and guidance to our leaders and torch-bearers of tomorrow – our future. Prior to this, I have worked as Montessori Directress in Tauheed Grammar School overseas for about 5 years.  My mission is to decorate our younger generation with the best education and manners to enable them to brighten up the world as well as their own future in this world and the hereafter.
Fun Facts: Besides teaching, I have a passion for painting and creating crafts and I enjoy doing art projects with my students.

English & Math Teacher

Grade 4 – 8

Salam! My name is Sabeca Sultana. I am the English and Math teacher at OMA. I have been teaching for six years in Ontario Muslim Academy and alhmadulillah have had a great experience. I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and have experience in ESL and IEP. I am passionate about knowledge and I believe there is no age limit in learning. I love teaching children and I enjoy my time being around them. In my spare time I enjoy reading and  painting. 

Quran Teacher

Assalaam alaikum, my name is Lubna Mansoor. I come from Saudi Arabia, having earned a certificate in Tajweed from there. With over 15 years of experience in teaching children the Quraan in Saudi Arabia, I had the honour to continue teaching the Quraan at OMA. I hope to instill the love of our Holy Book in every student that I teach and wish that every student that comes out of OMA holds the importance of the Quraan in their lives forever.

Grade 3

Asalamualikum! My name is Hira Mashkoor and I am the homeroom teacher for
the Grade 3 classroom!

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science, computer courses, and
a diploma from Conestoga College. I also have an Early Childhood Education
Diploma from Ashworth College which has allowed me to have several years of
working experience with children in a variety of environments.

Teaching is my passion and I love being around children. I am grateful to
have this wonderful opportunity given to me by OMA that allows me to teach the
Muslim children of our community! My goal when teaching my students is always
to help nurture both their Islamic and academic talents, and I hope to create a
memorable classroom experience for my students as I do that

Asalamualaikum. My name is Rayhana Sayd. I have been a teacher at Ontario Muslim Academy for the past 13 years. I currently teach grade two academics and Islamic Studies. I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow. I love children and engaging with them in a positive manner. In my free time I enjoy walking outdoors and spending time with my beautiful grandson
